Tim Miller “Love, Your Broken Home” for Manelman’s Birthday

29 May

It’s a little raw around the edges, but then so is the situation.
No question he nails the sentiment.

Waking up to another birthday in a place that is becoming less recognizable by the day, but Happy Birthday anyhow.

Love, Your Broken Home. By Tim Miller

Today’s my birthday.  I remember my last birthday too, because it was a lot like this one.  Woke up… wrote about a country I barely recognize anymore.

The Wall Street Journal reported:

Bank of America Corp. (BAC) and Citigroup Inc. (C) incorrectly hid from investors billions of dollars of their debt, similar to what Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc. did to obscure its level of risk, company documents show.

Then Business Wire reported:

Bank of America today released the first-year results of its 10-year, $1.5 trillion community development goal to lend and invest in underserved communities. Initiated in 2009 as the largest community development goal ever established by a U.S. financial institution.

And then I heard from Tim Miller, a singer/songwriter from Dallas Texas.  Here he is performing a song he wrote after reading a news story about a family who lost their home, the victim of predatory lending.

Thank you Tim…
